    Doug you are one smart bucker! What a great buckin' idea! That's a fantastic buckin' table. It really makes the buckin' work a lot easier! And the buckin' rounds just slide down the buckin' ramp, along with all of the buckin' sawdust, and end up right where you need 'em! Even makes the buckin' mess easier to clean up. You are one smart bucker, for sure!! 👍😅

    Great bucking station. I just picked up a MS-261C to compliment the 500i. How do you like it, and are you familiar with the Stihl 2 in 1 sharpeners?

    • @OneEyeCustoms
      @OneEyeCustoms 5 дней назад

      I love my MS261, perfect size for most everything I do. I did put a 20” bar on it just for more reach on my bucking table. I’m not a fan of the 2 in 1, I think it takes the rakers down too much and then bogs the saw out.

  • @paulheidbreder
    @paulheidbreder 6 дней назад

    Any] tree cutting is dangerous. No avoiding it. You've got the right idea for tractor and chain. Red Oak leaning on the ravine edge: I'd cut it up above the ravine enough to get a chain on it. Then cut at the stump. Then tractor skid it up and out with a chain.The huge ones would be a challenge but you're always safety conscience and you generally like challenges. my guess is that you'll give it a try... You can do it. The huge one would be a challenge to mill up even.I can't even imagine what the weight would be.

    • @OneEyeCustoms
      @OneEyeCustoms 6 дней назад

      At this point, I’m going to see how long this one lasts. I don’t think it can be made much better out of steel except with steel, you can break it down to ship it if someone wants to make it sellable.
